In classical mythology, Hercules is famous for his strength and his numerous far-ranging adventures. Hercules is a multifaceted figure with contradictory characteristics.

For the artist, Alexandru Rădvan, Hercules is just a normal man with a very typical life. You can see him in the vineyard, in Halkidiki, in the swamp, trying to put away a sea urchin or skinning a rabbit. From the mythology, the artist keeps just the impressive posture of the character and the attributes, such as the lion skin, whilst the action in which he is involved is related to a conventional daily life.
