Originally designed as a diptych “Bearing I” and “Bearing II” are now considered individual pieces. The first in a series of works that has been produced from my sketchbooks, which were themselves produced over a period of time sketching en plein air during storms and unsettled weather. My aim was to recreate the energy and dynamics that had come across in my simple sketches.
