Embracing What Is Dark , 2020
16 x 12 in (h x w)
Acrylic over canvas
[27]

When thinking of fear I thought of embracing my darker side. Darkness can come in many forms. I always saw my following darkness as a cloud following me that I cannot control. This painting is a self-portrait. I separate my concrete fears and inner ones. This is a painting of my inner darkness on the outside my eyes are closed because when I’m embracing the darkness I’m capable of becoming someone else. Someone feared instead of loved.
