Beanz , 2020
16 x 16 in (h x w)
Acrylic over canvas
[18]

Beanz is inspired by the food I eat a lot at home, bean soup. Beans are a surprising thing because you can do so many different things with them. I wanted to show a single and how it can mean more. I chose to make it abstract to emphasize how great it is and how big a role it has in my life. The bright splatters and block coloring represent the different components and feelings I get from this delicious food. It has many connections and memories in my life and I wanted to convey that in my piece.
