Lola , 2020
40 x 40 in (h x w)
Acrylic over canvas
[16]

Lola was inspired by my babysitter named Lola, who passed away last summer of old age. The sphere represents eternity and timelessness for all the time she shared with my family. The white triangle represents the trinity because she was strong in her faith and the background color represents my appreciation for my skin pigment.
