“Living-Room Mutualism”, realizzato nell’ambito di BoCA (Biennial of Contemporary Arts), rientra nella sua indagine sulla storia e la funzione dei gesti nella cultura popolare, che l’ha vista mettere in scena complessi performative environments in contesti espositivi ufficiali e negli spazi pubblici. Qui, Pirici si pone l’obiettivo di far svolgere gesti quotidiani al pubblico confinato nell’ambiente domestico, che acquisisce così uno statuto diverso, un’insospettata dignità artistica.

“Living-Room Mutualism”, created as part of BoCA (Biennial of Contemporary Arts), is part of her investigation into the history and function of gestures in popular culture, which has seen her stage complex performative environments in official exhibition contexts and public spaces. Here, confined people in their domestic environment perform everyday gestures acquiring a different status, an unsuspected artistic dignity.
