Norfolk Coast – Sunset , c. 1991
14 x 21.6 cm (h x w)
casein on paper

Collection: Max Saunders
© Estate of Alfred Cohen 2020

One of many renderings based on Wells-next-the-Sea, the nearest harbour to the Cohens’ last house in Wighton, North Norfolk,
where they moved in 1978. A long channel leads from the quay through the marshes to the sea and the beach; from the straight road alongside it you can look back to the sea front.
