© The estate of Bernard Meninsky

Landscapes were one of Meninsky's enduring subjects. This watecolour was made during a painting trip to the Mediterranean town of Torremolinos in southern Spain's Costa del Sol in 1947 and captures a characteristic landscape of low, white-washed, red-tiled buildings and gently rounded hills punctuated by upright cypresses.
