Designed by Vanden Plas

Equipped with a 4-seater touring body, the car wore No. 1 in the 1929 Le Mans, and after its successful outing in France, it soon became known as “Old Number One.” Fitted with a long, streamlined tail, it went on to win the 1929 Brooklands Six Hours race and finished second in the 1929 Brooklands 500, averaging a then-remarkable 109 mph.
