In the words of the artist: "I have always been creative and since I was little I have been painting and creating art. During my later teenage years I focused on my studies more than art and then I started working full time which left little space for creativity for me. In summer 2018 I separated from my then ex boyfriend. We were in a long distance relationship and I was a very toxic one too. I moved to Chicago and I was heartbroken, my self-esteem was so low and I was depressed during the first few months there. In early 2019 I decided to create art again in order to pull myself up out of that hole I fell in. So I bought an easel, a canvas, brushes and paint and I just started painting. Art has helped me tremendously coming back to who I am, it gave me confidence and purpose. That experience made me realize that I want to become an art therapist because art can literally save lives. At the end of this month I will start my art therapy training in Berlin! I'm so happy to have the opportunity to do this!
I have also sold quite few pieces so far, mostly in Chicago, which is what I want to continue doing in Berlin and maybe even internationally. I want to launch my website this year and have an online shop where original and prints will be available worldwide!
My art is characterized by strong colors and mostly portraits. I am an oculophile, meaning I love eyes. The eyes truly make you see a person's soul and I'm trying to capture that in my portraits."
