Beauty Knows No Words
Sharpie Marker on Mylar

I feel that recognition of minority groups is very important and so I decided to draw a Black model. The drawing in my eyes represents the beauty that we can find within all races and ethnicities. It also represents how powerful and beautiful women are. I used the words “Black is beautiful”, to fill in the entire drawing and I think that those words are quite fitting. I want racism to stop completely and in order to do that I think that we need to normalize Black people, more specifically Black women in art and photography, because I believe that there is still not enough representation.
