Goldberg coined the term Techspressionism in 2011 for use as the title of a solo exhibition. He has received grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts. Goldberg’s works reside in the permanent collections of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center, Stony Brook University Hospital and the Islip Art Museum.

This piece is based on the eponymous vector-based digital drawing from the artist's Metagraph series. The composition is inspired by a diverse range of sources including old-school Bronx subway graffiti and Aboriginal Australian petroglyphs. "Mesmertron" was originally drawn in Illustrator in 2003 and reborn as an NFT 18 years later. The original soundscape contains samples from NASA's Discovery program missions.
