Dawn chose to set her 12 IBS1 blocks into a medallion style layout with the block forming the border and the picture postcards transferred to fabric making up the centre of the quilt. Dawn embroidered the quilt's "motto" (International Block Swap) right into the middle of the postcards.

We think that this is an exceptionally clever idea to showcase the postcards! The entire quilt is a joy to look at and we are very proud that Dawn allowed her masterpiece to take part in our Travelling Exhibition.

Dawn hat ihre 12 IBS1-Blöcke in ein Medaillon-Layout gesetzt. Die Blöcke formen den Rahmen und die auf Stoff gedruckten Postkarten tummeln sich im Mittelteil des Quilts. Dawn hat das "Motto" (International Block Swap 2012) mitten unter die Postkarten gestickt.

Wir sind der Meinung, dass das eine außergewöhnlich kluge Idee ist, die Postkarten ins richtige Licht zu rücken! Der gesamte Quilt ist eine große Freude für das Auge und wir sind sehr stolz darauf, dass Dawn uns erlaubt hat, ihr Meisterstück mit auf Reisen zu nehmen.
