This quilt conmemorates the year 2012 for me. There is a crown for the Queen's Jubilee, the Olympic Rings and two wedding rings for Christopher, my son, and Georgina, my now daughter-in-law. I handquilted these motifs, along with the year 2012, into the white corner triangles of the quilt centre.

Dieser Quilt wird mich immer an das Jahr 2012 erinnern. Da ist eine Krone, für das Kronjubiläum der Queen, die Olympischen Ringe sind auch dabei und auch zwei Eheringe für Christopher, meinen Sohn, und Georgina, jetzt meine Schwiegertochter. Ich habe diese Motive, mit der Jahreszahl 2012, mit der Hand in die weißen Eckdreiecke des Quiltmittelteils gequiltet.
