Pink Delta

At first glimpse you would be forgiven for thinking 'bad photoshop' but the colours in this scene were just extraordinary. There were thick clouds above my head and above the water with the setting sun shining orangey pink light onto the underside of the clouds overhead. This created some very soft and almost 'gelled' looking light. The giant pink soft boxed turned the water a completely unreal colour looking like some kind of terrible chemical spill. Within a few minutes the sun dipped and the colour turned to drab brown. It is so rewarding when as the photographer, by chance, you end up in the right place at the right time. I could never have planned this photograph and it is unlikely I will ever see this spectacle again.
