“Four Humors’ Hunger” is based off the medieval belief of four fluids that make up the body and their elemental relations in medicine. The humors; blood, yellow bile, black bile, and phlegm; each had their own locational source on the body and unique properties. This piece humanizes them as women hiding underground, hoarding blood.
