The Wedding , 2020
11 x 8.5 in (h x w)
mixed media, Digital Background and traditional graphite pencils for the drawing.

In this illustration, my maternal great- grandmother appears on the left, my grandmother in the middle, and my paternal great- grandmother on the right. This photo was taken on my grandparent's wedding day and is one of my favorites since when I drew it, it transported me to that day as if I had been there.

For me it was incredible to draw people so close to me that I never got to know, somehow I felt that I discovered a part of my past that I did not know. I loved experimenting with the features of the faces, the textures and the patterns of the fabrics.
