Harold Joseph Laski (1893–1950) was an English political theorist and economist, born in Manchester to Jewish, Eastern-european immigrant parents. He served as Chairman of the British Labour Party during 1945–1946, and was a professor at the London School of Economics from 1926 to 1950. Among his students was Jawaharlal Nehru, future Prime Minister of India.
