I choose to paint figurative. In this setting a mother and daughter are wading in a shallow river to cool off on a hot summer day, and hear something in the distance that they are not sure of. I like to paint a story and have viewers come up with their own stories. I am attracted to the beauty of the river and the mother and daughter. And I accepted the challenge of painting the reflections.
