The Crying Eye (Incomplete) , 2020
170 x 220 cm (h x w)
spray paint

A painting featuring a crying eye with the icons of the whaling city reflected in its pupil, surrounded by coronavirus spores. Jeff Saint and fellow graffiti artist, Ryan McFee, are painting the piece on a building adjacent to the Custom House Square in New Bedford with the hope of eventually replacing the spores with flowers after the virus is defeated. The piece is expected to be completed by Summer 2020.
