Iran Freedom of Speech: Poster , 2009
h = 60, d = 0.1 in

I designed this poster in response to the 2009 Iranian election. Widely regarded as rigged, the election led to protests, as well as the further curtailing of women’s freedom. I chose to illustrate these political and human rights infringements by depicting a woman’s mouth stitched shut with imposing red lines—a graphic condemnation of the skewed election results and the radical silencing of women.
