Artista neo-concettuale americana. Elemento fondamentale della sua poetica è la parola scritta che, nelle sue installazioni, occupa e riconfigura lo spazio pubblico. L’artista realizza spesso opere di grandi dimensioni utilizzando come supporto cartelloni pubblicitari, edifici, panchine e tutto ciò che fa parte dell’ambiente urbano.
Nei mesi più difficili della pandemia, ha partecipato al progetto “Messages for the City” in cui 12 artisti, tra cui Pedro Reyes, Mel Chin e Christine Sun Kim, sono stati invitati a presentare opere in grado di sensibilizzare il pubblico sull’emergenza sanitaria. In un Paese come gli Stati Uniti, fortemente diviso su come affrontare la pandemia, l’artista ha scelto di inviare ai cittadini che vivono lo spazio pubblico un messaggio inequivocabile: prestare attenzione alle misure di sicurezza igienico-sanitarie.

In the most difficult months of the pandemic, she participated in the project “Messages for the City” in which 12 artists, including Pedro Reyes, Mel Chin and Christine Sun Kim, were invited to present works that raise public awareness of the health emergency. In a country like the United States, strongly divided on how to deal with the pandemic, the artist has chosen to send an unequivocal message to citizens when they are in public space: pay attention to health and safety measures.
