A Canadian Pacific 4–6–2 Pacific-type basks in the rays of sunlight streaming through the roundhouse windows. A focus–shot on the driving wheels and connecting rods, Shaughnessy enjoyed this close proximity to locomotives. For him a steam locomotive was truly a “thing of beauty, power and purpose.”
