A Chicago, Burlington & Quincy O–5–class 4–8–4 starts its train moving out of Zearing, Illinois, after interchanging cars with the NYC at the westernmost point of its far–flung system. Several O–5–class 4–8–4s, 4–6–4s, and 2–10–4s were pulled out of temporary storage to help move a bumper grain crop in the fall of 1956. Steam excursion fantrips with sister O–5 no. 5632 ran on the CB&Q between 1958 and 1964.
