THE GOOD DISHES- Living and working in the epicentre due to COVID-19, so much was forbidden. In order to process what I was experiencing and tame my anxiety, I created still lives with family heirlooms from my neighbours and friends. The process of creating the still life as well as designing and constructing the individual background textiles was both cathartic and comforting. "The Good Dishes” investigates memory and loss through the mode of family heirlooms and the role they play in the ritual of socializing over a meal.
