"Quedarte" is part of the digital collage triptych entitled "Los hombres de anteayer" (The men from the day before yesterday), which the artist Juan Carlos Mora has created exclusively for the occasion of its incorporation to our Gallery. Working on the idea of love as a battle is the main idea of the work. A battle in which there is always a winner. Cupid throwing an arrow with a golden point, from whose wound love is born.
Naked gladiators, the body fragile and strong at the same time. Weapons that are a metaphor. At the same time the "magic" representation of different elements, using geometry and bright colours. "Losing one's head" as a synonym for madness.
As Napoleon Bonaparte said "in war and in love, it is necessary to see oneself up close".
