C.Bride Meets the Figs , 2020
20 x 16 in (h x w)
Gouache & Colored Pencil

The statue of the young girl carved takes life in the middle of the night and begins to talk alone. She experiences her first daylight alone until she is discovered by the figs and subsequently Pomegranate. The figs are immediately enraptured with her, because she looks similar to the Mother Married Mary in their chapel's sugar glass windows. They beg to have her as the heir instead of Pomegranate. The plan has succeeded.
