Struggling In Society
Markers, Watercolour, Acrylic paint, pencil crayons, Collage, and markers.

In this project, my goal was to communicate my message clearly through my artwork. Society’s beauty standards aren’t met by many women. My goal is for people to consider what they put out into the media before doing it; insecurities are normal, but insecurities caused by society’s unrealistic expectations shouldn’t be normalized. I began to sketch onto the good copy. I then used watercolour for the background. I layered blue on top of purple watercolour. I started working on painting the girls with acrylic. Then, I painted the table brown. I sketched out where the three sections above her head would be. I painted those multiple times with white paint. I drew on their faces and glued my pictures to my artwork to complete it. I went over it with a fine point sharpie and erased the whole art piece to get rid of any visible pencil marks.
