East of the River , 2015

The East of the River Boys & Girls Steelband playing at Hines Junior High School in Southeast Washington, DC - honoring Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton. EOTRSB is a free music program for DC youth ages 10-18 years old that teaches students how to play the steel pan drums. It also teaches youth how to read and write music and provides cultural heritage education. The band was founded by Dr. Gladys W. Bray in 1993.
