This digital photograph of the way up on to Small Down Knoll has inspired much of the work in the show. The journey through this tree tunnel never ceases to impress and is always different. The image is actually made up of many different photographs stitched together. I felt it important to capture the sheer, immensely satisfying volume and detail of vegetation surrounding the path and the contrast of light and shade.
