Ironworks culvert
Category - Architecture
[BPA2021-005]

The view from within a subterranean stone lined culvert that supplied water to a series of waterwheels that powered this historic ironworks site in Somerset. Looking down into this fern filled pit from above gave some clue as to the image that could be created if the camera were positioned inside the culvert looking out. Eventually finding a way down into the low tunnels proved to have been well worth the effort.
