"My brother was battling a bone-eating treatment resistant-bacteria. He is a fighter. To pass time convalescing, he started taking art classes at Paint Creek. He encouraged me to join him for an oil painting class, which I did last fall. I unanticipatedly yet immensely enjoyed the class and found oil painting quite peaceful and rewarding.

His treatment required many trips to the University Medical Center. The halls of which were lined with donated art, some of which was for sale. One particular piece caught my eye. I loved it. The piece spoke to me. The artist was asking over $50,000. So, I thought I’d try to paint it myself. My brother has won his battle and I have a $50,000 piece of art." -Pamela Falzarano
