Separated from his unit during a blizzard, Shen (right) takes refuge under an abandoned shed. There, he fights the bitter cold accompanied by an enemy soldier’s frozen corpse. He hallucinates and struggles to stay awake in the bitter cold. Shivering, he writes in his journal.
