Puncture Wounds , 2020
16.8 x 20.8 in (h x w)
Gouache and colored pencil on illustration board

Puncture Wounds is about the feeling of mental illness looming, sucking you back in. You feel it surrounding you, with no escape in sight. It also symbolizes trauma and fear I’ve developed with unfamiliar animals after an incident with a cat attack. This is represented by a lion tamer that has lost control of his cats. Things have gone awry while the audience watches with their haunting eyes.
