"I finished this art piece a week before we went into lockdown. When I was working on this piece COVID-19 was just starting to pick up in the U.S. Taking a look back on it I wasn’t as frightened as I am today. Being on lockdown has its pros and cons. I normally don’t paint or draw landscape but this one in particular was just very calming to draw. The setting is in my front yard and when I step out of the house I can see relaxed nature. At times like these I am thankful that I created this piece. Hopefully by sharing out to the people I hope they see what I see in my piece." -Serena Shaw
