" did lots of hiking by myself with my binoculars ready during the Pandemic. It was rumored that people had heard a Barred Owl at Stony Creek Metro Park, but it had not been seen in 2020 . I'm a bird watcher, and I had never in my lifetime seen this kind of bird. I painted this picture to capture the March 19 day I saw my first Barred Owl in a tall White Pine tree there. The title has two meanings. I discovered the owl, and the owl looked right at me. So we sighted each other." -Sigrid Grace
