One of the biggest hurdles one can face when in a different country is the language barrier. That hurdle feels even bigger when you are a young child. With this piece I seek to invoke the raw emotions and feelings of helplessness that come with not speaking the local language, something many young immigrant children and children of immigrants have to face as they begin their schooling in America.
