'Foundations II' , 2019

Oil and acrylic on collaged canvas
for sale

‘Foundations II’ was originally inspired by a photograph, taken by the artist, of a dilapidated urban wall in the city. The piece is a multi layered collaged painting made from oil & acrylic paint on linen & canvas, over a wooden panel. It explores the imprints that materials make when added and then removed from each other. And how when put through a series of painting methods, a visual language of history can be built on a surface.
