Oil on canvas on reclaimed linen
for sale

A collaged painting using reclaimed vintage linen and Oil & Oil Bar on canvas.
This work was inspired by photographs taken by the artist of shanty towns in India. The brightly coloured palette of the oil paint combined with the raw hessian aim to replicate materials that are commonplace in India. Each rectangular section of the painting represents an individual shanty structure, densely stacked against each other to form the overall composition of the painting.
