This delicate, abstract embroidery by Iaconis exhibits a complex patterning that becomes increasingly delicate and refined at the centre of the work.

Venuzza Iaconis' work is characterised by whimsical representations of animals, flowers and figures which she imbues with her signature exaggerated geometric forms and unconventional design and patterning. Reminiscent of Paul Klee, from whom she draws inspiration, her works are vividly saturated and energetic. Her work encompasses a variety of media, alternating seamlessly between stitching, drawing and painting.

Iaconis has been an artist at Arts Project Australia since 1999 and has been included in numerous group exhibitions including at Linden New Art and Queen Victoria Women's Centre, Melbourne. Her work is held in private collections in Australia.

Condition: Backed and wrapped for protection.
