I Am Palestine
cardboard, Paint, wire, Glue

The assignment was to build a grad hat and my goal, as a Palestinian, was to advocate for the oppression of the Palestinians. In my artwork “I named my art “I AM PALESTINE.” I want people to have their own point of view for the art work so I made my legacy statement on the board, ‘Imma Do This For Them’. I think anything I can do will impact people even if it is an art piece or if I attend a protest. It is important for me to make an impact to help my people. Every person that I showed my art to came up with their own meaning of the artwork and that conversation is an important way to build awareness and understanding and eventually peace.
