Of the Same Tree
Watercolour on paper

In my artwork, I wanted to express the idea that we are all equal and need to care for one another. To show these ideas, I used a lot of symbolism in my piece. The hands holding up the tree have multi-coloured fingers. This represents people of different races and ethnicities. These hands symbolize that we are all responsible for the Earth and each other. The leaves and tree also represent things, with the leaves depicting the people and the tree symbolizing the Earth. The leaves on the tree are made out of petals of different colours, shapes, and sizes. Using these pieces of paper, I wanted to show that we are all just leaves from the same tree despite our differences.
