As a student, I love to explore the history and multi-cultures of the world. This Maasai tribesman (photographed by Lee Howell) struck me because of his regal demeanor and beautiful imperfections. I used a type of analogous color scheme of red, purple, and yellow to enhance the feeling of the earthy elements I found while researching this tribe. The seeds, rice, and corn used for the jeweled garb encompasses some of the harvest used to sustain life in their culture.
