”My work is in stone, a common object for most! Every day, I step into my studio knowing how incredible it is to create fine art from quarried rock. I’m drawn to the concept of how humans interact, both within their environment and socially. I hand carve into rock using traditional and modern tools, while investigating both internal and surface minerals and veining. My desire is to expose both a smooth polished finish and the rough jagged natural rock.
