Smoke and Mirrors
Paper and cardboard

For this piece I decided to work with the theme of identity and how finding it is a journey that lasts a lifetime. I find it akin to looking at a mirror but your image is blurred by smoke or steam and each time you wipe the mirror and clear it, the mirror fogs up as quickly as it was cleared away. Though with each attempt to clear the mirror we get glimpses of ourselves and we hold onto those glimpses as our personality and moral compass. Every day and even more now we have been home doing online school. We all do a little bit of self reflection and learn a little bit more about ourselves from that fogged up mirror.
