'I attended the feminist rally in Katoomba ‘Enough is Enough’ because we have to keep street heat will to win women and queer rights. Horrifyingly, globally, one in three women are sexually assaulted by the time they turn 18. Around half of transgender people and queer women will experience sexual violence at some point in our lives. Sexism and homophobia are deep seated prejudices that our governments are not addressing. This is because, to paraphrase Greta Thunberg, ‘the system is doing what it is designed to do.’ Patriarchal capitalism is designed to oppress women and queers. So we need a feminist, queer-led revolution against it. That is why we need to keep protesting!'
