Artist Statement
As a mother, I know there is no bond stronger than that between a mother and child. This bond begins before the actual birth, when the mother feels a strong need to protect and nurture the life within her. Every woman should have access to support and respect before, during and after the birth.

My painting “Close 2” is about the strong connection between a mother and newborn, and the need we feel as humans for touch and nurturing eachother.

Biography
I am a Contemporary Artist based in Toronto . Although I have always painted, only recently have I pursed it as a career after working as a refugee lawyer and teacher.

I work with a palette knife and acrylic paint to paint bold, vibrant portraits, still life and figure paintings.

I am currently represented by New York Gallery, Mahlstedt, Southern California Gallery, Five 3 Gallery, Art By Toronto and Art Provo in the Caribbean. I have had exhibitions in New York, Miami, London, Toronto and the Caribbean.
