Invisible Disabilities touched a sore spot in my Soul. Growing up in the fifties, there was not any help for learning disabilities like dyslexia or attention deficit disorder. But there were labels like poor or slow reader and careless in math. Spelling errors and number reversals plagued me. Writing with any speed or under pressure made it that much worse. No speed reading course could fix me. Frustration was daily over how much time I need to speed on homework with reading assignments.

In contrast, art was the opposite. I could create my own world with images. In art school, I loved the challenge of lines and shapes capturing the essence of quick gesture poses. During the past 12 years, I have been using my skill as part of a group of musicians performing improve New Music. I am enriching the creative interaction with sound and dance as I express with my brush as an instrument. The paint I put down is the sound and rhythm in paint, the color and movement in real-time are punctuated with vital brush strokes.
