The juxtaposition of ‘Amusement Park I’ in the ‘Heterotopias’ series, taken in Toronto at Ontario Place - icons of a time gone by - in the fall of 2021, and those of ‘Canyon I, II and III in the ‘Playground’ series taken in California mountains in winter of 2022, intends to open a dialogue between nature acquiescing to humans, and humans acquiescing to nature. Further, they explore the agency of nature acting upon humans as well as manmade structures and transforming them both in the process.
