The Order of the Spoons , 2021
20 x 18 x 1 in (h x w x d)
Frottage, white charcoal on black paper

“The Order of the Spoons” is a frottage artwork that features three white-silver spoons placed in an order side by side to each other; the left being the biggest spoon, followed by the middle-sized spoon, and lastly the smallest spoon of the three on the right. The spoons have circularly ribbed oval heads of the spoons, which then lead down to the neck and the body of spoons. The tail of the spoons contains intricate, ribbed details, and the body includes labels: 1 tablespoon, 1 teaspoon, and ½ teaspoon. The positioning of the spoons forms a “family portrait” of the spoons, ordered by “seniority.”
